When G/L Connection Codes are selected, the options used to define the connection code are listed. The following information is recorded using the “New” option on the connection codes list of the related transaction type:

Code: The code of the G/L connection. The Code field is mandatory. Alphanumeric characters can be used for coding. The Code field is mandatory.

Description: The name or the description of the G/L connection code. Although the description is important for connection codes, it is not mandatory.

G/L Code: The field used to specify the G/L account code to be applied for the transaction. “...” The main or second chart of accounts is accessed by clicking the “…” icon, and the related account is selected.

The G/L Account Code field is mandatory.

Description (1): The name or the description of the G/L account. The description is transferred into this field when the account code is entered. However, the selection can also be made on this field by listing recorded G/L accounts.

Distribution Template Code: The code of the account distribution template.  The related distribution template is selected by clicking the “...” icon.

Distribution Template Name: The name or description of the account distribution template. The description is transferred into this field when the distribution template code is entered.

Priority: It is used to specify the order of priority of the G/L connection code. The less value takes the priority and the zero value is checked. For example; the priority of 0 is higher than 1 in G/L connection codes.


Organizational Info

The fields on this section are used to record the organizational units for which the G/L connection code will be applied.

Organizational Unit Code: Indicates the organizational unit for which the G/L connection code will be used. Recorded units are listed, and the related unit is selected. 

Organizational Unit Group Code: The division group code.

Department Code: Indicates the department for which the G/L connection code will be used. Recorded department definitions are listed, and the related definition is selected. 


Filters

This field is used to specify the filters that will apply to the defined G/L connection code.

Slip Aux. Code: Indicates aux. code of the slip to which the connection code will be applied.

Trading Group: Indicates the trading group to which the connection code will be applied. The recorded Trading Groups are listed, and the related definition is selected.
