The bank account consists of two panes: The upper pane contains the data entry fields, and the lower pane contains the totals of account details that vary depending on the account type. The options and functions of the Bank Account window are:

Account Code: The code of the bank account. Each bank account is tracked with a unique code. Alphanumeric characters can be used for coding. This field is mandatory.

Code information is the most basic information allowing accounts to be used rapidly and accurately in search, sorting, selection, grouping and reporting operations. Therefore, account code should be specified by considering the required analyses. An information infrastructure allowing multi-dimensional analyses can be established if one or more characters of the account code contain classification information.

Account Name: The name of the bank account. The string is 50 characters long. Although the account Name field is important for the account record, it is not mandatory. However, since search and sorting transactions can also be made by account name, account records are also sorted by the first ten characters of the bank name as well. Therefore, using distinctive information in the first ten characters of the account name would be useful for efficient use. Furthermore, the account name entered into this field is also used while forms are printed.

F. Currency Type: A current account in F.C or loan account in F.C should be generated to perform bank transactions in foreign currencies. This field is used to specify the foreign currency type of the generated account, and these accounts can be used to record only transaction currency transactions.

Exchange Rate Type: The exchange rate default for the account in f. currency. Exchange rate types are defined by F. Currency Parameters option in Administration section; and the rates are defined by the f. currency table.

Account Number: The number of the bank account.

Credit Card Transactions: The field used to specify whether or not the bank account will be used in credit card transactions. Since defined bank accounts can be used in credit card transactions when this box is checked, back payment plans are defined for the account.

Aux. Code: A second code field used to classify bank account records. Contains 10 characters. The Aux. Code is used to classify bank accounts by company specific criteria.

Authorization Code: Used to define authorizations for each record. The string is 10 characters long. Each user may be authorized to use different records depending on the job definitions. Planning must be the first step in order to define authorizations by record. First, records to be accessed by each user or user group should be specified. Then, separate authorization codes are assigned to record groups accessible by each authorization group. Records are encrypted according to the information provided on the auth. code field so that only the users who log in with the specified authorization code can access and process the records.

Status: The field used to specify whether or not the bank account will be used in transactions. This field has two options: Active and Passive.

When active is selected, the account is in active state, and can be used in transactions. When passive is selected instead, the account is in passive state, and therefore cannot be used in transactions.

Collection Account: This field takes place in Credit Card type bank account definitions. When AR/AP credit card slip is collected after purchase/sales transactions performed with credit card, to which bank account will the relevant amount be transferred is determined in this field. Recorded bank accounts are listed and related commercial account is selected.

The fields on the Totals section located at the bottom of the record are not for data entry; information displayed on these fields is generated as a result of transactions, and are automatically transferred into the record.

The account details of Current Accounts and Current Accounts in F. Currency types display the current Debit, Credit and Balance totals of AR/AP, Collection P. Notes, Clearing Checks, Checks Issued and Credit Card Blocking. The total line displays the total of all account details.

The totals of account details in current account in F. Currency records are displayed in transaction currency.

The account details of Loan Accounts and Loan Accounts in F. Currency types display the current Debit, Credit and Balance totals of Collateral P. Notes, Collateral Checks, Credit Against P. Note and Credit Against Check. The total line displays the total of all account details.

The totals of account details in loan account in F. Currency records are displayed in transaction currency.
