On the slip lines of Material Class type, the details of the child materials of the Material Class can be recorded using the Material Class Detail Lines option. Material class detail lines are located in the right-click menu of lines with Material Class (general) line type.
Input and output transactions of materials grouped under material classes (general) are recorded using the related slip types in the Material Management, Purchasing, and Sales Management sections. The type field of the slip line is used to specify the material class of the transaction.
If the transaction belongs to a general material class, transaction information of materials classified under this class is recorded using two methods.
1. Using the Material Class Detail Lines option of the right-click menu on the related line, and
2. Using the Apply Distribution Template option of the right-click menu on the related line, and
Material Class Detail Lines
When clicked on the Material Class Details option located in the right-click menu of slip and invoice lines, a window is displayed where information related to materials pertaining to the material class and processed on the slip are recorded.
The materials window lists the child materials related to the material class selected on the slip line. The material of the transaction is selected. Transaction information (code, description, quantity, unit, unit price, currency, pricing currency, VAT%, amount, amount (PC), transaction aux. code, additional tax amount, delivery code) of each material within the material class is recorded on a separate line.
Material Class Detail Entry with Distribution Templates
On the slip lines of Material Class (general) type, the details of the child materials of the Material Class can also be recorded using the Distribution Templates. To do so, the Apply Distribution Template option located in the right-click menu of the related slip line is used. Distribution Templates defined for the material class are listed. The template to be applied to the transaction on the slip line is selected. Child materials of the Material Class and their quantities specified on the template are automatically transferred into the line.
Information about the child materials for which the lines are generated by applying the Distribution Template, -such as the Unit Price and Transaction Aux. Code- can be recorded using the Material Class Detail Lines option.
