Characteristic groups, which are basically identical to characteristic definitions, are used to group characteristics with similar types. This grouping action allows characteristic definitions for the whole group instead of assigning values to each characteristic. When Group Value is selected as the type for the related material characteristic, values defined for the Material Characteristic Group will be applied to the material characteristic as well.
Material Characteristic Groups are defined using the Material Management > Definitions > Material Characteristics Groups menu option.
The relevant options located in Material Characteristics Groups list, and the Info and right-click menu options are used to define material characteristics groups or to modify existing definitions. The menu options are:
