Materials can be produced in different characteristics and with different characteristic values, especially in order-based production sectors (textiles, furniture, computers, etc). These configurations can be specified for the customer and can be produced only once.
j-Guar Configuration Management allows materials to be tracked with different characteristics and values and provides easy configuration tracking.
Variant definitions eliminated the need for defining separate materials in the system for each configuration, allow tracking through linked variants and provide flawless monitoring of all linked processes (proposal, order, production, etc).
In order to efficiently use the configuration feature, the following features are used:
- Material Characteristics
- Material Characteristic Groups
- Material Characteristic Sets
Materials with different combinations by characteristic value are called Variable materials. Set materials can be used to combine multiple materials with different characteristics.
