The production order to be used for material and the minimum/maximum material quantity to be produced are recorded in the Bill of Materials Relation tab of the material to be used to calculate the standard cost of the plant. When the Bill of Materials Relation is established, the bill of material to be used in material production according to time requirement is defined. The Bill of Materials Relation is only available for Finished Product materials.

The fields and functions on the Bill of Materials Relation tab are:
Bill of Materials Code: This field is used to specify the bill with which the materials will be produced. Defined bills are listed and the appropriate definition is selected. If bills are not defined, a new definition is made using "New" button.
Priority: The field used to specify the usage priority of the bill of materials. The priority is specified using numbers.
Plant No: The field used to specify the plant where the bill of materials will be used. The defined plants are listed, and the appropriate definition is selected.
Start Date: The production start date.
Standard Cost: This box should be checked if the bill of materials would be used in the standard cost calculations of the specified plant. Only one bill of materials can be checked for each plant.
Planning: Indicates whether or not planning will be performed for the bill associated with the material.
Minimum Quantity: Indicates the minimum material quantity to be produced using this bill of materials.
Maximum Quantity Indicates the maximum material quantity to be produced using this bill of materials.
The bill of materials relations, recorded in the material, are processed in production order entries. When the Finished Product Code and the Planned Quantity are specified during production order entry, the specified values are displayed as default in the Bill of Materials Code field of the material record of the finished product.
