For each stage of the production process, the workstations, and the fixed setup, transaction, move, control, wait duration, lot and move batch sizes of workstations are specified with operation definitions. The operation is then related to the routing. For each line on the operation record, the labor and tool requirements, and the characteristics of the workstation where the operation will be performed are recorded. The fields and functions of the Operation window are:
Code: The definition code of the operation. This field is mandatory.
Description: The name or the description of the operation.
Status: Indicates the usage status of the operation. The Status field has two options: Active and Passive. Since the operation definitions list accessed through routing definitions does not include records with Passive status, such records cannot be used in production routings.

Aux. Code: The aux. code of the operation. The code allows the user to classify the operations by company specific criteria. The string is 10 characters long. Alphanumeric characters can be used to define the code.
Authorization Code: The authorization code of the operation. Used to define detailed authorizations. The string is 10 characters long. Alphanumeric characters can be used to define the code.
Count Center: The parameter that has influence on operation completion transaction. Used to determine the quantity that will be processed in next operation. The field contains Yes or No options.
If "Yes" is selected, the usage items of the next operation are determined in operation completion transaction.
The usage items quantity of these operations is the maximum allowed quantity for the next operation to be actualized.
For the previous operations, maximum allowed quantity would be production order planned quantity. (For the operation cards that count center fields are defined as "No")
Operation requirements are specified on the Operation Requirements section of the definition record. Each operation requirement is recorded on a separate line.
Priority: Indicates the priority of the requirement. Operation definition priorities are determined by lines; the uppermost line is the first in order of priority. Up and Down buttons are used to change priority. When "Down" button is clicked, the selected line is moved to the next line below. When "Up" icon is clicked, the selected line is moved to the next line above.
Minimum Quantity: Indicates the minimum quantity of products to be produced.
Maximum Quantity Indicates the maximum quantity of products to be produced.
Resource Type: The field used to specify the resource type to be used. This field contains the Workstation and Workstation Group options.
Workstation Group Code: Indicates the code of the workstation or workstation group depending on the selection made on the resource type field. Defined records are listed by clicking on "..." icon, and the requested definition is selected.
Workstation Group Description: The description of the workstation or workstation group. Defined records are listed on this field by clicking on "…" icon, and the requested definition is selected.
Start Date: Indicates the operation start date in the selected workstation or workstation group.
Fixed Setup Duration: Indicates the setup duration in the selected workstation or workstation group before the operation starts.
Operation Batch: Indicates the number of materials allowed to be simultaneously processed in the selected workstation or workstation group.
Operation Time: The time necessary to complete the Operation Batch.
Move Batch Size: Indicates the number of materials allowed to be moved simultaneously.
Move Time: Necessary amount of time for a moving the batch in the specified size.

Queue Time: Indicates the amount of time the produced materials waited in ready status before entering the operation.
Wait Time (pre-operation): Indicates the wait time if the materials to be produced have to wait before being used in the operation.
Wait Time (post-operation): Indicates the wait time if another operation will be applied to the material to be produced, and the material will have to wait for this operation.
Occupation (%): Indicates the physical area percentage occupied in the workstation by a Unit output of the operation.
Efficiency (%): Indicates the ratio between the efficiency of the Employee / Workstation and the standard efficiency in terms of Operation Requirements.
