The Planned Cost Calculation option is located in the right mouse button menu of the production orders window.
If the type of the output to be produced using the production order is material class, the information of the finished product for which the cost will be calculated is recorded using Material Class Details and Material Matrix options.

The following factors are processed in planned cost calculation:

  • Planned material quantity,
  • The closest unit cost to the planned operation time of the workstation and the planned start date of the work order,
  • The closest unit cost to the planned operation time of the employee and the planned start date of the work order.

The calculation method of input material costs is also specified in the Cost of Input Materials section of the Planned Production Cost Calculation window. This field contains the following options:

  • Use User Definitions
  • Use Company Costing Method

When "Use User Definition" is selected, the costing method is specified on the costing method section of the material cost window. The cost of input materials defined on the Production Order Lines tab is recorded by the user. In this way, the user-defined values are used for the usage and scrap costs of these materials during cost calculation.
When "Use Company Costing Method" is selected, the usage and scrap costs of input materials are calculated by performing costing operations using the Costing Method specified in the Company Parameters in the target warehouse (the warehouse specified on the production order lines tab).
Overhead groups are located under Overhead Share field. Overhead costs are viewed in detail on group basis and separately by grouping the overheads.
When "Calculate" button is clicked, the planned cost calculation operation is started using the selected input materials cost method.
