General information and functions located at the top of the record are:
Code: The code used to perform and track AR/AP transactions. The AR/AP code field can contain up to 16 characters, and can be sorted and searched. Alphanumeric characters can be used for coding. The code field allows AR/AP records to be used rapidly and accurately in operations such as searching, sorting, selection, grouping and reporting. Therefore, the code field is mandatory.
The code should be specified considering the analyses required for accounts receivable/payable. An information infrastructure allowing multi-dimensional analyses can be established if one or more characters of the code contain classification information.
Title: The title of the AR/AP. The string is 200 characters long. Although this field is important for the AR/AP record, it is not mandatory.
However, since search and sorting transactions can also be made by account name, AR/AP records are sorted by the first ten characters of the account title as well. Title information is also used while slips, invoices, and Letters or Labels to be sent to the AR/AP are being printed.
AR/AP can have more than one title. A second title info can be recorded by "Title 2" field.
The AR/AP title can be recorded in the language of application or with its translation in the required language. The language options are listed by clicking "..." icon, and the translation of the title is recorded with the selected language.
Status: The field used to specify whether or not the AR/AP will be used in transactions. This field has two options: Active and Passive. When active is selected, the AR/AP is in active state, and can be used in transactions. When Passive is selected instead, the AR/AP is in passive state, and therefore cannot be used in transactions.
E-Business Code: Security information provided by LogoConnect server in transactions performed through the Internet, and used in E-Business and Logo Connect applications.
