The customer information is recorded in the Customer window accessed by clicking on "New" button located at the bottom of the Customers list.

The upper fields of the record display the general information of the customer. The information and functions are:
Code: The code of the potential customer for whom a sales operation is planned.
Title: The field used to record the name or the title of the customer.
Category: The field used to group customers by field of activity or tracking operations. The default options of this field are given below.

  • General
  • Wholesale Dealer
  • Retail Dealer
  • Public Institution
  • Competitor


The appropriate option is selected for the customer or group. The options displayed in this field are recorded using the Customers option located in the Categories section of the Sales&Distribution Proposal Management System menu.
The other information about the customer is recorded in the following tabs of the Customer window:

  • Communication
  • Sectors
  • Accounts Receivable/Payable
  • Other


Customer Communication Info
The customer's address, zip code, phone, fax and Internet address, and the contact persons are recorded in the fields of this tab.
Sectors
The information about the customer's sector is recorded in the fields of this tab of which the functions are described below:

Code and Description: The field used to enter the sector code and description of the customer. The Sectors/Industries window is displayed by clicking on "..." icon, and the appropriate definition is selected. If the sector of the customer is not defined, the sector can be defined by clicking on "New" button.
Main: If the customer operates in more than one sector, the main sector is specified on this field.
Business Volume: The amount of the customer's business volume in the selected sector is recorded on this field.
Transaction Currency: The currency used by the customer for sector transactions is specified on this field. The F. Currency Types are listed and the appropriate currency is selected.
Business Volume (Currency): The amount of the customer's business volume in the selected sector is recorded as transaction currency on this field.
Number of Employees: The number of the employees of the customer is specified on this field.
The information about each sector is recorded on a separate line.
Customer AR/AP Info
The field used to specify the AR/APs of the customer definition.
AR/AP Code/Description: The AR/AP code and definition that will be connected with the customer.

Other
The other information about the customer is recorded in the fields of this tab of which the functions are described below:

Aux. Code: This field can contain up to 10 alphanumeric characters. This field is not mandatory; it can also be used to process information not contained on the slip.
Authorization Code: This field can contain up to 10 alphanumeric characters, and is used to define authorizations on a per record basis. This field is not mandatory; it can also be used to process information not contained on the slip.
In the LOGO application, each user may be authorized to access different records depending on the job definitions. Planning must be the first step in order to define authorizations by record. First the records that the users or user groups can access are specified. Then separate authorization codes are assigned to records accessible by each authorization group.
Status: Indicates the status of the customer. This field has two options: Active and Passive. The customer records with passive status cannot be used in transactions.
Currency Type: The field used to indicate the currency type to be used in sales to the customer. The F. Currency Types are listed, and the appropriate currency is selected.
Group Company: The group company box is checked if the customer's company is part of a group.
Main Company: If the customer's company is part of a company group, the parent company can be selected on this field.
Competing Firm: The field used to record the competitor.
