G/L Connection Groups are used to group G/L accounts used to track definitions made in application sections, and to post transactions to the accounts within this group.
Recording G/L accounts used to track definitions used in application sections under connection groups for Main and Second Chart of Accounts prevents time losses and minimizes the error margin. These connection groups are accessed through definitions and slips, and transaction G/L slips are automatically saved.
General Ledger Connection Groups option is located under the General Ledger module > Definitions menu. The "New" option located in the General Ledger Connection Groups window is used to define new connection groups.
The G/L Connection Groups menu options are:
| New | Used to define a new G/L connection group. |
| Update | Used to change the defined G/L connection group information. |
| Delete | Used to delete G/L connection group definitions one by one or in batches. |
| Copy | Used to copy record information to another record. |
Assign G/L Connection Group | Used to assign G/L connection group to the materials, services and assets collectively over the G/L Connection Groups browser. |
Start Template | Used to record macros for the transaction to be performed on the G/L connection groups list. |
Finish Template | Used to terminate the macro recording. |
Load From Template | Used to load data from template. | |
