The production order to be used for material and the minimum/maximum material quantity to be produced are recorded in the Bill of Materials Relation tab of the material to be used to calculate the standard cost of the plant. When the Bill of Materials Relation is established, the bill of material to be used in material production according to time requirement is defined. The Bill of Materials Relation is only available for Finished Product materials.

Maximum Quantity Indicates the maximum material quantity to be produced using this bill of materials.
The bill of materials relations, recorded in the material, are processed in production order entries. When the Finished Product Code and the
Planned Quantity are specified during production order entry, the specified values are displayed as default in the Bill of Materials Code field of the material record of the finished product.
