The standard and defined filters can be used in new report designs and standard reports of the application. The "Update" -> "Filters to be Applied" option accessed by right clicking on the New Report Design window is used for the defined filters. The defined filters are listed and the ones to be used in the report are selected. The report design is recorded in a manner to include this filter information as well.
