If the material specified on the demand line is present in the warehouse, the demand delivery field contains a line with "Fulfilled from Stock" delivery type. The presence of material in the Warehouse on planned slips and related quantity is controlled for each material. If materials are present and quantity is less than required, whole total of Warehouse is transferred into this column, while material total of warehouse is more than required quantity, it is transferred into this column.
The demand quantity is calculated as follows:
Quantity to Be Fulfilled From Stock = Physical Inventory – Planned Outputs
Controls to be performed when quantity to be fulfilled from stock is less than gross requirement are:
- Alternatives can be used for material delivery depending on the values on the alternative material usage field of the demand slip.
- In case of alternative material usage, first the presence and then the warehouse status of alternative materials is checked.
In addition to all these operations, Divisible parameter in unit sets of related materials is also checked. If Divisible option is used, and the required quantity is (for example) 5.2, this information is directly transferred into the related columns of the demand delivery window. If Divisible option is not selected for the unit set, 5.2 quantity requirement is reflected as 5 on the related columns of the demand delivery window.
