Checks and P. Notes received from AR/AP are recorded by selecting Checks Received and P. Notes Received as the slip type. AR/AP and check/P. Note information is recorded by clicking the Continue button once the slip general info is entered.
 
AR/AP Code: The code of the AR/AP who issued the check or P. Note. The recorded AR/AP definitions are listed by clicking the "…" icon, and the related definition is selected.
AR/AP Title: The title of the AR/AP who issued the check or P. Note. The title of the AR/AP selected on the code field is transferred into the field. However, existing AR/AP definitions are also listed on this field, allowing selections or new definitions.
Trading Group: The trading group code of the AR/AP who issued the check or P. Note.
Contract Number: This field is used to track and report the relevant contract in relation to which the financial transactions of check and promissory notes (received and issued).
This field is available in bank slips of Checks Received, Promissory Notes Received and Checks and Promissory Notes Issued (To AR/AP) types.
The Contract No field becomes active after specifying an AR/AP record.
If the slip type is Checks Received or P. Notes Received, the Sales Contracts list of the relevant AR/AP opens from the Contract No field.
If the slip type is Checks Issued or P. Notes Issued, the Purchase Contracts list of the relevant AR/AP opens from the Contract No field.

Customer Checks
Information about checks received from the AR/AP is recorded using the "New" option on checks received slips.

The following customer check record information is recorded:
Portfolio Number: The tracking number of the check. Alphanumeric characters can be used to enter the employee number. Checks are sorted by their numbers. The Portfolio Number field is mandatory.
Due Date: The due date of the check. The due date field is mandatory.
Serial Number: The serial number of the check. The serial number field is mandatory.
Aux. Code: A code field of 10 characters used to group checks. The Aux. Code is used to classify checks by company specific criteria.
Authorization Code: Used to define detailed authorizations. The string is 10 characters long. Records are encrypted according to the information provided on the Auth. Code field so that only the users who log in with the specified authorization code can access and process the records.
Nonnegotiable: Indicates that customer checks cannot be endorsed. The checks list accessed through the checks issued to AR/AP slips does not contain checks recorded as "Nonnegotiable".
Debtor: The name of the person who issued the check.
Place of Payment: The name of the city where the check will be paid.
Bank Code: The code of the bank that issued the check. The field lists the bank codes defined using the Bank Codes option located under the Global menu of the Administration section, and the related definition is selected.
Bank Name: The name of the bank that issued the check. The name of the bank selected on the code field is transferred into this field.
Branch Code: The branch of the bank that issued the check. The field lists the records defined using the Bank Branches option located under the Global menu of the Administration section, and the related definition is selected.
Account No: Bank account number of the relevant check.
IBAN: IBAN number of the bank account.
Submission Duration (Day): Indicates the duration for submission of the check to the relevant party. Submission is to present the check to the bank for payment. The check must be submitted to the addressee bank within the submission duration. If a check will be paid where it is cashed, submission date is 10 days. If it will be paid in a different location, then the check must be submitted to the relevant party within a month. If it is not submitted within the specified duration, then check will expire.
Amount: The field used to specify the check amount.
Amount (RC): The amount of the check in reporting currency. The exchange rate for the desired date is selected from the daily exchange rates list.
Amount (TC): The field used to record check transaction currency. The transaction currency and amount are recorded on the related fields.
Organizational Unit: Indicates the organizational unit related to the check. The unit specified on slip general info field is displayed, and cannot be changed.
