This option is used to save inputs (child materials) required for the production of Finished / Semi-Finished Good materials. It is located in Attached Records menu of Materials browser for materials of Finished / Semi-Finished Good types.

The followings are recorded in Finished Good Child Materials window.

  • Information of the material to be produced
  • Information of the input materials (child materials) to be used in the production

The following information is recorded with Finished Good Child Materials option.

Information of The Material To Be Produced

Code

The code of the material in the system. Browse button opens the list of Materials of Finished and Semi Finished Good types. The relevant record is selected.

Description

The description of the material. When you enter information in Code field, the description of the selected Finished Good/Semi Finished Good is transferred into this field.

Quantity

This field is used to specify how many of the relevant finished / semi-finished good will be produced. This field is mandatory.

Scrap Rate (%)

The scrap rate of the material. This field is mandatory.

Unit

The main unit of the finished good is transferred into this field by default. However, it can be changed if required.

Organizational Unit

The organizational unit where the relevant material will be used. It is selected from the Unit definitions.

Warehouse

Shows the warehouse where material will be used. Warehouse information of the relevant Usage / Scrap Slip which will be generated during Quick Production operation is transferred into this field. It can also be selected from the Warehouses list.

Information of The Child Material (Inputs) Used in Production

Code

The code of the child material which is used in the production of the finished good or semi-finished good. It can be selected from the materials of Finished / Semi Finished Good types.

Description

The name or informative information of the child material which is used in production. It can be selected from the materials of Finished / Semi Finished Good types.

Quantity

Indicates how many/much of the material - defined in that line - will be used for production. If the selected unit is divisible, fractional numbers can also be entered.

Unit

Shows the unit of the child material. It is selected from the Units list. This field is mandatory.

Scrap Rate (%)

The scrap rate which may incur during the use of the material defined in that line is entered. This field is mandatory.

Organizational Unit

The organizational unit to which the child material belongs. It is selected from the Org. Unit definitions.

Warehouse

Shows the warehouse where material will be used. Warehouse information of the relevant Usage / Scrap Slip which will be generated during Quick Production operation is transferred into this field.

When you continue by clicking Save option, the finished good and the related child materials are associated. Each material, which will be used in the production, is saved in the same manner. By defining child materials of the Finished Good / Semi-Finished Good, you can generate BOM quickly.
