Information about financial investment sources is recorded by selecting an investment type. Financial investments are recorded with the following types.
- Fund
- Share Certificate
- Deposit Income
- Money on Safe Deposit
The type is selected by clicking the arrow icon next to the "New" option.
The following financial investment information is recorded:
Code: The record code of the investment source with fund or share type.
Description: The name or description of the fund or share.
Aux. Code: The aux. code of the fund/share. The Aux. Code is used to group financial investments by company specific criteria and to provide ease of reporting.
Authorization Code: The auth. code of the fund/share. Used to define detailed authorizations and to provide data security.
Deposit Account Activation Date: This field is only available in the Financial Investment window opened by selecting the Future Income type. This indicates the date on which the deposit account is activated.
Note: This field is for information only. It does not update the deposit renewal date. The interest is calculated by the date given in the "Deposit Start Date" field in the Deposit Transaction window.
Organizational Unit: Indicates the organizational unit of the financial investment source. The recorded organizational unit definitions are listed and the related definition is selected.
Department: Indicates the department related to the financial investment source. The recorded department definitions are listed and the related definition is selected.
Quantity (Previous Period): The fund/share quantity in previous period.
Quantity: The fund/share quantity in the current period.
Total: The fund/share totals in the current period.
Amount: The amount of the fund/share. This field is not for direct data entry. The amount is automatically calculated and transferred into the field.
Amount (RC): The fund/share amount calculated in reporting currency. This field is not for direct data entry. The amount is automatically calculated and transferred into the field.
Account Info: It is only in Money on Safe Deposit type of Financial Investments. The operation is performed between Deposit Account and AR/AP defined here. The operation details can be accessed through Money on Safe Deposit-Related Records-Operation Details.
