In the Demand Management module, the required quantity can be demanded from the other warehouses to the relevant warehouse provided that the "Control other warehouses' inventory level" option is checked in the Delivery Parameters and the required quantity cannot be provided from the demand warehouse.
If a demand is issued for a material from the warehouse, alternative warehouses from which the required quantity will be demanded if the inventory level is not sufficient in the relevant warehouse, must be defined in the system. These warehouses are specified using the "Demand Delivery Warehouses" menu option located under the System Settings module > Definitions > Trading System menu.
The "New" option located at the bottom of the left section is used to define resource warehouses information. There can be multiple resource warehouses for a single warehouse.
Code: The resource warehouse code. This field lists the organizational unit definitions and the required one is selected.
Description: The resource warehouse description. The organizational unit description is transferred to this field automatically and it cannot be changed.
Priority: The priority information for the resource warehouse. It is used to determine the primary resource warehouse to check inventory level when there is not sufficient stock in the demand warehouse. It is increased by the application automatically and can be changed when required.
