This option is used to gather the asset parts under specific types. Grouping the asset parts under specific types facilitates tracking and reporting the assets. The "New" option is used to define asset part types.
In order to match these asset part types defined in the System Settings module with the Asset records, the "Type Code" option located in the Asset Part window accessed over the Asset Management module > Definitions > All Asset Records (Real Estate, Equipment etc.) > Attached Records > Asset Types > New option is used.
