Click New option in the Asset Parts browser to record asset part information. The following information is entered on the window accessed by clicking the New button on the related record:
Code | The tracking code of the asset part record. The Code field is mandatory. Asset parts may have a multilevel structure. In order to define units in a multi-level structure, part code definitions must be suitable for the multi-level structure. For example, if the code of the asset for which the part will be defined is v01, the part code can be v01.01. |
Description | The name or the description of the part. |
Type Code | Type code of the asset part. The existing asset part types are listed and the relevant type definition is selected. Asset part type is used to group and report asset parts easily. Asset part types are recorded using System Settings module > Types > Asset Management > Asset Part Types option. |
Type Description | Description of the asset part. The description of the definition selected in Type Code field is transferred to this field automatically. The existing asset part types can also be listed and selected in this field. |

Aux. Code | A secondary code field used to track asset parts by company-specific criteria. The Aux. Code can be used as a filter in reports. |
Resource | Indicates whether the asset part will be used in specific tasks. The parameter contains the Yes and No options. Select Yes if the asset part will be used as a resource. |
Usage Start Date | Indicates the date from which the asset part will be used. |
Usage Area | The total area of the asset part. If there are related sub-parts, their usage field is also included in the total. |
Usage Volume | The total volume of the asset part. If there are related sub-parts, their usage volume is also included in the total. |
Available Area | The available area of the asset part. If there are related sub-parts, their area usage values are also included in the total. |
Available Volume | The available volume of the asset part. If there are related sub-parts, their usage volume is also included in the total. |
Current Allocation Point | The current allocation point information of the asset part is viewed from the fields under this heading. |
