The icons on the new report design window or the options of the right mouse button menu are used for the changes to be made on the report design.


New: Used to add a grouping section, data field, geometrical field and visual materials to the report design. The total and subtotal information can be obtained in the desired points of the report using the standard and user defined fields in the Grouping section.

Update: Used to update the data field, grouping section and general design parameters information. The Update menu contains three options: Selected Field, Selected Section, Parameters and Filters to be Applied. The relevant window is opened depending on the selection and the necessary updates are done.

Delete Selected Fields: Used to delete the fields within the design. The fields to be deleted are selected by checking with the mouse.

Arrange Columns: Used to edit the columns. The column range information is entered and recorded in the Column Range window.

Align: Used to align the fields within the design. Includes two options: Equal Horizontal Spaces and Equal Vertical Spaces.
 
Expand / Collapse: Used for the sizing of the whole report design or a selected section. The expand or collapse information is entered as a percentage.

Table Fields / Columns: If the report will be saved as an Excel or Access file and opened in these applications, the fields or columns to be inserted in each section are specified using this option. The fields to be added are recorded by specifying the type, content and property information after clicking the New button.

Field List: Used to list the standard and defined fields.

Change Attributes: Used to underline or insert a line on the text in the selected field or to remove the lines. Includes the Underlined and Over lined options.

Send Back/ Bring Forward: Used to bring the selected field to the background or foreground.

Hide Control Palette / Show Control Palette: Used to hide or show the operations panel in the new report design window.

Group / Ungroup: These options are located in the button panel and used to group the fields of the report sections or to ungroup the previously generated groups. The groups facilitate the definition of field format properties and alignment operations.

The template is generated by inserting the fields, graphics and visual materials to be included in the report into the relevant fields of the report sections.
