The section used to plan production activities of the LOGO application. Planning options allow material amount to be produced, production start time, material required for production and procurement methods to be planned. The characteristics of the Planning module are as follows:
- Allows production start date and production amount of demanded products to be calculated in order to comply with customer requests completely and on time. These transactions are recorded and tracked using the Master Production Schedule (MPS) option.
- An extensive procurement plan must be developed for materials required at the start of the production planned by MPS. Procurement transactions may include semi finished good production or purchasing required raw materials. These transactions are performed using the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system.
- When Production orders are released, in other words, when production orders are planned and start and end dates are calculated, workload should be displayed for Work Stations and Employees. Planned/actual transactions and capacity overloads of these capacity elements can be tracked and changes can be performed using the Capacity Planning feature.
The Planning section contains the following menu options:
Production Planning: The menu option used to perform Master Production Schedule, Material Requirements Planning and Capable to Promise transactions.
Capacity Planning: The option used to record Resources Scheduling and Production Order Scheduling transactions.
Transactions: The option used to record Production Planning Proposals.
Operations: The option used to realize production order planning proposals.
Reports: The option used to report planning transactions.
