Price Indices are company-independent information defined using Price Indices Types option located in the Global menu of the System Administration application.
The Type field is used to access information transferred over the Internet for the defined index. A selection can be made from among predefined types such as
- SIS WSPI
- SIS CPI
- ICC LIWE
- Other
When the Price Indices Types option is selected, the system lists the default types. The same Type information can be used for different indices.
The Price Indices option used to enter and transfer monthly and yearly values for predefined price indices is located in the Global menu of the System Administration application.
Data entry and transfers are performed on separate pages for each index type. The appropriate index must be selected in order to enter data by index type.
The System Administration application checks whether or not index types and value tables are generated every time a users logs in. If tables are not generated, a record is generated for index values transferred to a file over the Internet. Users can perform required changes on records and transfer index values added subsequently to the data import file by clicking on "Update" button.
When the index type is changed, user approval is required to record modifications performed on the window.
The Indices to be Used in Inflation Accounting parameter of the General Ledger Parameters option located in the Definitions menu of the
System Administration section of the LOGO application is used to specify indices to be used in inflation accounting transactions. The parameter value is specified by selecting one of the defined indices.
