Budget types are defined to facilitate tracking and reporting budgets by grouping them under types. Budget Types are defined using the System Settings module > Types > General > Budget Types menu option. In order to define a new budget type, the "New" option is used.
In order to match the budget types defined in the System Settings module with the budget records, the "Budget Type" option located on the Budget Management module > Transactions > Budgets > Budget definition window is used.
