The "Barcode Assignment to Materials" option located under the Material Management module > Operations menu is used to assign barcodes to the materials without barcode information. This menu option is also used to assign a new barcode to the materials with the barcode.
The required standards and numbering information which will be used in barcode assignment are specified using the Barcode Numbering Template. (See. Operations > Material Barcode Assignment)
If the information related to the materials processed in the slip lines will be recorded using a barcode reader, the "Code Entry" option located on the slip is used. When a new barcode is entered for the same material, the slip line Quantity info changes automatically. If material and barcode information does not match, the system will warn the user that there is not a material record corresponding to the code specified.
