Authorization by Division and Warehouse allows groups or users to perform transactions only for the division and warehouse for which they are authorized.
The related group is selected on the "groups" window group authorizations related to divisions, departments and warehouses. Afterwards, the related company is clicked and authorized Divisions, Departments, Factories and warehouses are selected using the search button or "Select From List" option located in the right mouse button menu.
Divisions, departments, factories and warehouses for which the group will be authorized are tracked using the plus and minus signs. Plus and minus signs indicate that the group can or cannot perform the division, department and warehouse transactions respectively. Group authorizations are applied to all users within the group.
Users within the group may have to work with different companies and locations. Companies for each user are specified independently from groups by selecting the related user on the Groups or Users window.
The divisions, departments and warehouses options of the related user are used on the users window. Division, department and warehouse that the user will be authorized for are selected. Transactions and application sections that the user will be authorized for in relation with the selected company are recorded using the Rights for Program Functions and Authorization Codes options.
User Authorizations for Inter-Division Transactions
In case that the company has more than one division and in case that the inter-division transactions are performed by different users, the authorizations based on divisions and warehouses are given these users by the following options:
