Standard cost information of an asset which is recorded by selecting an organizational unit and cost period is updated using the Asset Standard Cost Update option. It is located under the Operations menu of the Asset Management module. Update can be performed based on the period, update method and certain assets by specifying the required values in Defaults and Filters tabs.
Defaults
Previous Cost Period | Previous cost period to be updated is selected in this field. It opens Periods browser where you can select the relevant period and sub period from the list. |
New Cost Period | New cost period to which the standard cost amount will apply is selected in this field. It opens Periods browser where you can select the relevant period and sub period from the list. |
Update Type | Type of update is entered in this field. The options are By Cost and By RC Exchange Rate. |
Update Method | Method of update is entered in this field. The options are Change with fixed value and Multiply by factor. |
Value / Coefficient | Value or coefficient is entered in this field. Depending on the default update method, value or coefficient is entered. |
Rounding Base | Rounding base value is entered in this field. |
