The Shared Usage option is used to specify the organization unit(s) that will use the asset parts. Shared Usages option is located under the Attached Records menu of the Asset Parts browser. Usage information is entered in the fields below. Shared usage information can also be recorded in the asset parts browser.
User Type: Asset parts can be used by an organizational unit of the company or by a different company. You make this selection in User Type field. The field options are:
- Blank
- Organizational Unit
- Other
If you select Organizational Unit in User Type field, you select the unit that will use this asset part in the Code field. In this case, Code field opens Units list where you can select the related organizational unit.
If you select Other in User Type field, you enter the unit that will use this asset part in the Code field manually.
Usage rate: This field is used to specify the usage rate of the asset part in the organizational unit or other company.
The usage status is entered as a rate. The total rate of organizational units related to a part cannot exceed 100.
