If the sales orders will be delivered through production, the production order of the purchase order can be recorded on the Sales Order Slips window of the Sales Orders option located in the Transactions menu of the Sales and Distribution section of the LOGO application.
The BOM Standard Cost Calculation menu option is located in the right mouse button menu of the Sales Order Slips containing Semi-Finished/Finished Products and Material Class (Table) or Material Class type materials.
The BOM Cost Calculation window that opens is the same with the window opened on the Bill of Materials. The order date is displayed as default on the Date field of this window, and can be changed if necessary. When the date is changed, a message is displayed indicating that the Bill Of Materials Code, Bill of Materials Description, Revision Code and Revision Description information will be deleted. The information is deleted if the message is confirmed.
The information on the BOM Code and BOM Description fields is transferred as default from the BOM defined on the BOM Relation tab, and can be changed if necessary.
The appropriate BOM is selected according to the following criteria:
Priority: The BOM with the appropriate priority is selected.
Minimum Quantity and Maximum Quantity: The check is based on the quantity information specified on the order line. If the unit on the order line is not main unit, the quantity should be converted to main unit, and the check should be performed accordingly. It is not important if the quantity is not entered. The Minimum Quantity check is performed on zero units.
Start Date: The start date should be before the order date.
Revision Code and Revision Description: The current revision of the selected or default BOM is displayed as default, however a selection can be made from the revisions linked to the selected BOM.
Finished Product Code and Finished Product Description: The Material Code and Material Description on the order line is transferred as default into these fields, and can not be changed. If the product is a Material Class or Material Class (With table), the child materials are listed using the Material Matrix or Material Class Detail Lines options of the right mouse button menu. The child materials located on the detail windows are child materials defined on the order line. The child material quantities can be changed, however an existing line can not be deleted, or a new line can not be inserted.
If a child material is not defined on the BOM, the LOGO application warns the user during calculation, and does not perform the calculation.
Quantity: The quantity on the order line is displayed as default, and can be changed if necessary.
Unit: The unit on the order line is displayed as default, and can be changed if necessary.
Plant: The plant information on the order line is displayed as default, and can be changed if necessary.
Once the relevant fields are filled in, the Standard BOM Cost Calculation is started.
