"Rights for Program Functions" option is used to specify transactions and menu options that groups and users are authorized for. Authorization is performed through progressive stages for
- application sections
- main section menus
- sub-menus
- card, slip and column information
Signs located on the plus and minus columns of the Rights window are used to track whether or not the usage of application sections and submenu options are limited. Transaction authorizations are assigned either for users or groups.
Rights for Program Functions of groups are specified by selecting the related group on the Groups window. Sections and menu options for which the group will be authorized are selected using the search button or the mouse. When a group is authorized on application section basis, all menus and submenu options located in this section are automatically selected. Section transactions and menu options are listed by clicking the box next to each section. Lines for which the group will be authorized are specified using "Search" button.
It should be noted that group authorizations assigned for application sections are applied to all menus and menu options of the selected section. If the group will not be authorized for specific menu options of the section, the authorization can be limited by selecting related options using the search key. When a group is authorized on a transaction basis, all menu options located in the menu are automatically selected. However, if authorization will not be granted for related submenu options, the sign next to the related option is changed to minus using "Search" key.
The same authorization method is used for each section, and authorization definitions are recorded by clicking on "Save" button. When users login into the application, they can access application sections and menu options specified on the related group authorization.
"The Rights for Program Functions" options located on the Users window are used to define user authorizations if users within the group will have different authorizations. Details option is located in the right mouse button menu of the "Rights for Program Functions" option.
When Details is clicked, sections located in the LOGO application are listed. Menu options to be accessed by users are selected using the search key, and marked with a + sign. Available submenu options are listed by clicking the box next to each transaction option. Lines for which the user will be authorized are selected using the search button.
