Parametric and tracking information to be applied to the design in general is recorded using the Settings option. Such information is:
The Base Unit field is used to record the general measurement unit for the report. The field contains the inch and cm options.
The Name and Description fields are used to record the name and descriptive information of the report.
The Date field indicates the date in which the report is designed. The current date is displayed as default.
Page Width field is used to specify the width of the report page.
The Print Landscape option is used to specify the usage method of the page (vertical or horizontal). The page is used vertically as default.
The "Print Landscape" box is checked if the page will be used horizontally.
Other Properties: Certain defaults to be applied to the design are specified in the Grids section of the New Report Design window.
The "Display Grids" option is selected if the lines are requested to be displayed while the report template is generated, and the "Display Printer Page Marker" option is checked if the printer page limits are requested to be displayed.
The Horizontal and Vertical Grid Size values are entered into the relevant fields, and the design defaults are recorded using the "Save" button.
