This transaction is used to determine the inputs and usage quantities on the last level, and to track the similarities and differences of the bills of materials. The option is located in the Operations menu of the Production Definitions section. The bills of materials to be compared are specified on the lines of the Bills of Materials Comparison window. The fields and functions of the window are:
Bill of Materials Code: The code of the bill of materials to be compared. Bills of materials are listed by clicking on "..." icon, and the bill of materials to be compared is selected.
Bill of Materials Description: The description of the bill of materials to be compared. The bills of materials can also be accessed from this field, and a selection can be made.
Revision Code: The revision code of the bill of materials to be compared. The revision records of the bill of materials are listed, and the appropriate definition is selected.
Revision Description: The revision description of the bill of materials to be compared. The bills of materials revisions window can also be accessed from this field, and a selection can be made.
Finished Good Code: The code of the Finished Product contained in the revision lines of the selected bill of materials. The materials with Product Or Co Product line type are listed, and the requested material is selected.
Finished Good Description: The description of the Finished Product code contained in the revision lines of the selected bill of materials. The bills of materials revision lines window can also be accessed from this field, and a selection can be made.
Quantity: The quantity specified on the BOM for the selected Finished Product is displayed as default on this field, and can be changed if necessary.
Unit: The unit specified on the BOM for the selected Finished Product is displayed as default on this field, and can be changed if necessary.
In the LOGO application, other units contained in the Unit Set of the material can also be used for comparison.
Once the comparison information is entered, the transaction is started by clicking on "Compare" button. The comparison results of the bill of materials are displayed on the Bills of Materials Comparison Results window. The columns and lines of this window display the compared BOMs and revision information, and the material information respectively. Comparison results can be printed by clicking on "Print" button located at the bottom of the window.
