It is used to gather asset documents under specific types. It makes it easier to group asset document types and track and report them. Asset Document Types option is located under the Definition menu. A new document type can be defined by using the New button.
Asset document types are used while adding Asset Documents from the Attached Records menu of asset category browsers.
