The start and end of working hours of the asset are specified by assigning shifts; however, you can also define shift exceptions. To do so, click Shift Exceptions option located in the Attached Records menu of asset definitions browser. Start Date and Start Hour fields are mandatory in Shift Exception window. After specifying start date and time, exception type is entered. For instance, although shift is designated as a full work day, you may define "a break of two hours" in shift exception definition. In this case, a full-day record cannot be assigned to asset usage transactions.
