Values required for Quantitative and Qualitative criterion within an inspection criteria set are recorded on the lines of the inspection criteria set window using Inspection Criteria Value Assignment Default Entry option. The following information is recorded on the inspection criteria assignments window accessed by selecting the Quantitative type:

Inspection Point: Indicates the LOGO section where the criterion will be used. This field contains the following options:

  • Material Management Slips
  • Purchase Receipts
  • Sales and Distribution Dispatches

...

Inspection Frequency and Sample Quantity are calculated by processing the values specified on these fields and material transaction quantities in purchase and sales transactions.

The following information is recorded on the Inspection Criteria Assignments window accessed by selecting the Qualitative type:

Value: The value of the inspection criterion.

Description: The description of the inspection criterion value.

Example 1:

Assuming that the following values are entered on the inspection criteria assignments window of the material and that the material transaction quantity on the slip line is 2200 grams;

Inspection Frequency : 1/1000 gram

Number of Controls : 2

Sample Quantity : 3 grams

The number of inspections for 2200 grams of material is calculated as: 2200/1000=2.2. The number is rounded upwards (3), and the result is calculated by multiplying this number with the specified number of controls (2) =6. The result (6) is entered on the number of inspections field of the inspection criteria assignments window. The sample quantity of the same section is 3.

According to the operation above, the inspector performs 6 controls for 2200 grams, checking 3 grams of material at each inspection.
So, the total quantity to be inspected is 18 grams. Otherwise, "Insufficient Sample Quantity" warning is displayed. Furthermore, 6 lines of inspection should be entered in total. Otherwise, "Insufficient Number of Inspection" warning is displayed.

Example 2:

Assuming that the following values are entered on the inspection criteria assignments window of the material;

Inspection Frequency: 1/1000 meters

Number of Controls: 3

Sample Quantity: 2 meters

Transaction Quantity: 4500 meters

4500/1000 = 4.5; the number is rounded upwards, and the result is 5.

5 x 3 = 15; the material should be inspected 15 times.

15 x 2 = 30; 30 meters of material is required for the inspection.

Furthermore, 15 lines of inspection should be entered, and 30 meters of fabric should be inspected.
