Units performing various functions within the company are called Departments. Departments are defined using Departments option displayed by clicking the related company on the Company Definitions window. New departments are defined using "New" option.
The name of the department numbered 0 is Main and it is recorded as default in the application. The name of this department can be changed if necessary; however, the department number cannot be changed. The LOGO application assumes that transactions with blank department fields are performed through the department numbered 0.
