Computers used in the company are recorded using Terminals option located in the Management menu of the Administration application. Afterwards, groups and/or users using these terminals are specified.
"New" button located at bottom of the Terminals window is used to define new terminals. The Terminals window contains the following fields and information:
Number: The sequence number of the terminal. When a new terminal is defined, the number following the last assigned terminal number is transferred directly into this field, and can be changed if required.
Name: The name or the description of the terminal.
Code: The code of the terminal.
User: The user who will regularly work at the defined terminal. Defined users are listed and the appropriate definition is selected by clicking the arrow icon next to the field.
Defining the Terminals Belonging to Users and User Groups
Knowing the users and/or groups using each terminal is important for tracking and controlling company computers. The user who is regularly using the terminal is specified on the User field. Terminals to be used by groups are recorded using Terminals option of the Groups window.
Certain users within the group may not be authorized to use the terminal. In such cases, usage rights are specified using Terminals option of the Users window. When terminals are specified in a group basis, all users within the group can use selected terminals.
