G/L Transactions are recorded according to the legislation applied on the country where the application is used. Applications that are subject to legislation are connected to parameters. For instance, according to the Russian Legislation, corresponding accounts have to be entered and recorded in addition to G/L accounts of each transaction.
This process is performed using the Corresponding Account Control on Slips parameter of the G/L Parameters option located in the Definitions menu of the Administration section. When "Yes" is selected on this parameter line, the slip cannot be recorded without entering the corresponding account.
Even if corresponding account control is not performed, this field can be used as an information source for debit-credit match. If corresponding account control is performed, the G/L slip cannot be recorded without entering data into the Corresponding Account field for the G/L account processed on the line.
