The distribution method Account distribution templates are used to record the distribution of account transactions into overhead pools and projects is specified using Distribution Template option. Distribution information is recorded using "New" button located in the account distribution templates window.
The fields and functions of the template are:
Code: The code of the account distribution template.
Description: The name or the description of the account distribution template.
Priority: The usage priority of the template.

Aux. Code: A code field of 10 characters used to group template definitions. Alphanumeric characters can be used for coding. The aux. code allows the user to classify distribution templates by company specific criteria.
Authorization Code: Used to define detailed authorizations. The string is 10 characters long. Each user may be authorized to use different records depending on job definitions. A planning process must be performed for detailed authorization definitions. First, records to be accessed or processed by each user or user group should be specified. Then, separate authorization codes are assigned to record groups accessible by each authorization group. Records are encrypted according to the information provided on the auth. code field so that only the users who log in with the specified authorization code can access and process the records.
Division: Indicates the division where the distribution template will be used. "All" option is displayed as default.
Department: Indicates the department where the distribution template will be used. "All" option is displayed as default.
Start Date / End Date: Indicates the date range in which the account distribution template will be used for G/L transactions.
The lines of the distribution template are used to record distribution of G/L account transactions into Overhead Pools and/or Projects. The fields and functions on these lines are:
Overhead Pool Code / Overhead Pool Description: The code and description of the overhead pool related to the G/L account transaction. The Overhead Pools window is accessed by clicking on "..." icon from both fields, and the appropriate definition is selected.
Project Code / Project Description: The code and description of the project related to the G/L account transaction. The Projects window is accessed by clicking on "..." icon from both fields, and the appropriate definition is selected.
Distribution Factor: The factor indicating the effect of the account transaction on the overhead pool and/or project.
Distribution template information is recorded by clicking on "Save" button. The defined template can be used by selecting "Apply Account Distribution Template" option located in the right mouse button menu of G/L slip lines. The option is located in the right mouse button menu of the G/L accounts list. New templates are defined and existing templates are processed using the related menu options.

Used to delete the selected records in batch.

Number of Records

Lists the total number of records on the account distribution templates window.


Refresh

Used to display the current status of the account distribution templates window.
