Capacity Planning is performed separately for resources and production orders in the LOGO application. The Resources Scheduling and Production Order Scheduling options are used for planning transactions.
Resources Scheduling
The Resources Scheduling and Production Order Scheduling options located in the Capacity Planning menu in the Planning section of the LOGO application are visual tools used to specify new loads on capacity before production and work order release. In this way, work orders in production fields with capacity overloads can be distributed to different days than those proposed by Master Production Schedule and Material Requirements Planning calculations.
Resources Scheduling allows the usage of resources such as Workstations, Employees, and Tools resulting from production orders to be displayed by clicking on Filter button on a time-oriented table in accordance with specified conditions.
The table contains working hours in accordance with the shift and exception information, usage records in Work Orders and capacity overloads of resources used in multiple Work Orders at the same period.
Employees and Tools can be changed on the table at periods of workloads related to planned and actual usages. These changes can involve deleting, adding, replacement of employees and tools, and period extensions or shortening. If schedules modified by users are recorded, related resource usages are recorded with their actual states on the schedule. In such cases, source usage records displayed by opening Production Orders and Work Orders indicate the last status.
Conditions required for Resources Scheduling transactions are specified by clicking on Filter button.
Each Work Order is separately tracked on lines indicating the planned usage of the resource. Furthermore, if resources have actual usage records, actual usages are also displayed on schedules. Planned and actual usage records and periods of capacity overloads are displayed in different colors in order to facilitate schedule usage.

Points to be considered in Resources Scheduling transactions are:
- Resource usages/workloads cannot be generated for times on which resources can not work according to their shift and exception information.
- A resource cannot work for more than one time on the same Work Order at the same period. However, a resource can work on different Work Orders at the same period. In such cases, users are informed about capacity overloads.
- Capacity overloads of a resource are updated with each modification performed on related usage records.
- When Will be limited is selected in the Planned Tool/Employee/Workstation Usage and Actual Tool/Employee/Workstation Usage parameters located in Production Control Parameters of the Administration section, Tool/Employee usages of any Work Order are limited by times on which these resources do not work and Workstation working durations on that work order. This limitation is displayed on application windows.
- Since Work Order durations and Start / End Date information will be affected directly by changes, usage records of Resources Scheduling and Workstations cannot be modified. Records can only be viewed.
- If the status of the Work Order is Closed or Completed, Planned resource usages of that work order can not be changed.
- If the status of the Work Order is Not Started, Actual resource usages are not displayed for that work order.
- If the status of the Work Order is Closed, Actual resource usages are not displayed for that work order.
- Usage records can be deleted if the Work Order status does not prevent changes.
- Additions can be applied to usage records if the Work Order status does not prevent changes. In other words, if a resource does not work on a Work Order, it can be activated or the working period could be extended. The LOGO application proposes an appropriate period to the user during additions.
