Log Report – Log System

Tracking dates and users of company transactions is especially crucial for companies with multiple users. Company data security can be regularly controlled by reporting errors conducted by users either willingly or unwillingly. On the other hand, working times can be defined and employee performances can be evaluated on workload basis through user transaction reports.

To sum up, Log Reports allow data security to be maintained and employees to work efficiently through performance evaluations.
The functions of log reports depend on user passwords. The User Details window is used to specify whether or not a user will be tracked. "Track User" box is selected if transactions performed by the user will be tracked. Log report information is located in a single file for all companies. Log information is recorded using "Generate Log File..." option. Report information can be sorted by user name and company number.

Transactions performed by users are concurrently recorded on the log report. What is important on log reports is the order of transactions and not the way they are performed. Reports contain information about transactions performed in the system. The action history that led to the transaction can be seen by looking at the order of previous records.

Log Transactions

Log transactions are generated according to filter conditions specified on the Log Transactions window accessed by clicking on Filters button located on the Tracking Records window. The filter options and functions of the log transactions window are:

Company Number: This line is used to specify company transactions to be recorded on the log report. Since transactions of all companies are recorded on a single log file, companies to be recorded on the report are selected by defining a group or range on this field if each company will be tracked separately.

User: User transactions to be recorded on the log report are specified by defining groups or ranges. The filter selected on this line allows a separate report to be generated for each user when necessary.

Date: This filter line is used to specify start and end dates, and to list transactions within this range on the log report.

Module of Program: This filter line is used to specify application sections for which transactions will be tracked.
All sections are selected as default in the LOGO application.

Details of Application Sections: This section is used to specify in detail transactions to be tracked in the System Administration, Material Management, Purchasing, Sales and Distribution, Finance, General Ledger, Administrator, Inspection, Resource Management, Production Definitions and Production Control sections.

Once conditions are set on filter lines, "OK" button is clicked and the log report containing required transactions is generated.
