The Record Type field is used to classify the materials. The classification is aimed to provide increase in automation and flexibility in reporting. The material types are determined according to the purpose of use, and the purchase and sale types. The material type is specified in the Record type field of the Material list. Material types are:

Raw Material
/ Semi Finished Good
/ Finished Good

The Semi Finished Good and Finished Good materials are used along with the Raw Materials, especially in the production stages of companies who sell the products they manufacture. These materials are separately recorded as Raw Material, Finished Good and Semi Finished Good in the LOGO application.

Commercial Good
